{Review} Order Out Of Chaos Academic Planner

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

It’s Easy. Assignments, due dates and after-school activities can be seen at a glance.

It’s Functional. Homework and studying are easily scheduled during “available” times.

It Puts the Student in Control. Students can plan time for schoolwork around after-school activities OR without leaving things until the last minute.

I have 3 daughters, who are all in public schools.  All 3 of them receive school planners at the beginning of the school year.  Although they are suitable for their assignments, they do not provide space for all of their other activities such as gymnastics practice, gymnastics meets, school performances, work schedules, dances and other special school events they must attend.

The Order Out Of Chaos Academic Planner, developed by Leslie Josel, provides a weekly view as well as a monthly view.  Each day is divided by subjects and after-school activities.  The subject column is customizable and you only need to write them once for the whole year.  There is also a built-in storage pocket.

Because my daughters have school planners, I wanted to use this planner for all of their extra activities, as well as my blogging schedule, my middle daughters gymnastics practices and meets (and the deadlines for all the fees and forms that that entails), my oldest daughter's work schedule, my babysitting schedule (I have just started watching a friend of my daughter's when there are school holidays, school delays and early closures) and my obligations as the boosters chairperson for my daughter's gymnastics team as well as the cheer team.

I used the subject column to list all the different areas I wanted to keep track of such as my blogging, my  "Mom" activities and each of my daughters.

I like that there is a separate section for after school, which I can use for any appointments, performances, special events at the schools or times that I or my oldest have to work.

I am very forgetful and  have a very hard time remembering everything I need to do and when stuff is due (like school forms, permission slips, meet fees, etc.).  This planner allows me to see everything at a glance and also has a pocket to keep those forms handy and organized.  I love it!
