I remember trying to create the muffler sound not long after I learned to ride a bike,I tried the put the playing card in the spokes like I had seen on T.V., I rode around the block acting like I was so cool with that clicking noise going on!

ReplyDeleteWe just used baseball cards in the spokes, none o' this fancy muffler stuff. Oh, yeah, and we walked uphill to school both ways :-)

We never did that as kids. We did get those Garfield reflectors on our spokes.
ReplyDeleteWe did the trick of cards attached with clothes pins to make sound. I also had a horn on my bike. Glory days!

Growing up w brothers , I made noises on my bike ALL the time! I was as cool as them!! :)
ReplyDeleteI dont think I made that noise, but I remember I had a horn that made authentic emergency vehicle sounds. One time a person thought I was actually pulling them over. Thank you
