I myself have never watched the show, but I emailed my grown son, who did, and he said "Yes! I've watched and enjoyed the Avatar animated TV series. It's one of those rare crossovers where Japanese style anime has carried over to the mainstream U.S. market and found great success. I found I could easily relate to the characters and their individual struggles"
